Ambassador Prashant Pise met H.E. Hameed al-Ghazi, Secretary General of Council of Ministers on 29.09.2021

Al – Sabah News ,30/09/2021Yesterday, Wednesday, the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Al-Ghzi, called on the Indian side to increase the seats allocated for study fellowships.

A statement by the General Secretariat stated, "Al-Ghazi received the Ambassador of the Republic of India in Iraq, Prashant Pise, and stressed the importance of the bilateral relations that bind the two countries, and the Iraqi government's interest in developing them in all fields, especially the economic, trade, and health."

Al-Ghzi praised, according to the statement, "the role of the Indian Ministry of Health, in providing the necessary facilities for treating Iraqis in Indian health institutions, and the measures taken by the Indian embassy in granting the necessary facilities for the travel of patients."

Al-Ghzi demanded, "The Indian side, to increase the seats allocated for study fellowships organized by the Indian side in order to increase and exchange experiences between the two sides in all fields," inviting “Indian companies to enter the Iraqi lands to invest and contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq."

For his part, Pise affirmed, "Iraq is the largest supplier of crude oil to India, and accepted the Iraqi government's invitation to Indian companies to work in Iraq in all fields, and that the Indian government is ready to provide support to the government and people of the Republic of Iraq in various fields
