Carved into the hills during the Gupta period, these 20 remarkable caves offer a glimpse into the formative years of Hindu temple architecture. From the iconic Varaha relief depicting Lord Vishnu rescuing the Earth to the majestic Anantasayana Vishnu sculpture, Udaigiri stands as an extraordinary testament to the artistic vision, spiritual beliefs and architectural ingenuity that shaped India’s classical heritage.
