Invitation for participation in the 40th  Surajkund International Atmanirbhar Crafts Festival-2027

The 40th Surajkund International Atmanirbhar Crafts Festival-2027  is scheduled to be held during 1” fortnight of February 2027 at Surajkund, Faridabad , Haryana (India).

The Mela (Festival), jointly hosted by Union Ministries of Tourism & Culture, External Affairs, Textiles, ICCR and the Government of Haryana, showcases the finest traditions of handicrafts, handlooms, culture and cuisine across India as well as other countries. More than 53 Countries with 700 foreign artists participated in the 39th Surajkund International Atmanirbhar Crafts Festival-2026. This year Uganda has been selected as a “Partner Nation”.

The Government of Haryana has extended an invitation to cultural troupes comprising approximately 10–15 members, as well as artisans and craftspeople in groups of approximately 4–5 members, based in Iraq, to participate in the 40th Surajkund International Atmanirbhar Crafts Festival–2027 and showcase their cultural heritage, traditional craftsmanship, and artistic talents.

Facilities provided by the organisers:

  • Free boarding and lodging during the period of participation
  • Transportation from Delhi Airport to the Mela venue and back during the stay

However, it may be noted that the following expenses shall not be borne by the Mela Authority:

  • Airfare, customs duty, travel insurance, other travel within India, goods insurance for damage as well as theft and any professional fee.
