Iraqi Delegation headed by Dr Hisham Al Alawi, Head of Asia and Australia Dept, Ministry of Foreign Affairs meets the Indian External Affairs team headed by Secretary (CPV and OIA) in New Delhi on 18 November 2022. The 4-member Iraqi Delegation from MOFA and Ministry of Interior is currently visiting New Delhi for participation in the 3rd No Money for Financing Terrorism (NMFT) conference on 18-19 November 2022.

Trade transactions between India and Iraq in Indian Rupees
Iraqi Commander of the Naval Force, Vice Admiral Mazin Abdulwahid Gubaian Al-Ameri and Chief of Naval Staff of Indian Navy Admiral R. Hari Kumar met during MILAN-2024 naval exercise in Vishakhapatnam.

Ambassador Prashant Pise visited to Al Majal Business Park, Al-Zubair, Basra and interacted with the Indian nationals working in different companies around Al Mazal Business Park.
Ambassador Prashant Pise visited Basra Refinery Upgradation Project to motivate the Indian nationals employed at this site and observed their working and living conditions. About 6,000 Indians are working at the project site.
Ambassador Prashant Pise met with the Senior management of JGC and Hyundai to discuss welfare of about 6,000 Indian nationals employed at the site of Basra Refinery Upgradation Project.
